Definitions

The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form
Makeup Artist: Francine Ray Makeup

The Agreement

The contract that exists between the client and Francine Ray Makeup for the agreed fee. Verbal or written

The fee: The amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed above

The Event: Relates in principal to the date whereby the event or the wedding takes place.

The party: Additional members of the bridal party or any other persons needing makeup on the day.

Securing the booking of the event:
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid the non-refundable booking fee of £100 (or other amount agreed upon) to the makeup artist.
*Arranging a trial does not reserve the makeup artist’s services for the event.

Payment:

Payments can be made in cash or via bank transfer, cheques will not be accepted.

The non-refundable booking fee of £100 (or other agreed amount) paid by the client, is taken off the final fee / invoice. This is separate to a cancellation fee.
The trial is paid for at the time of trial.All final invoices for weddings are prepared and sent out after trial.

The final invoice / fee is to be paid in full by the client one month (28days) prior to the event, unless otherwise agreed with Francine Ray Makeup.

Failure to pay the booking fee within the stated time will result in the events date being released. Failure to make payments on time after receipt of final invoice will incur late payment penalties charged daily. On the very rare occasion that a date is held in good faith without a booking fee, all agreements to hold a date without a booking fee will be charged as a fully booked event and is subject to all required cancellation notice periods.Failure to cancel any booking within the required cancellation period will result in the full payment of the agreed event at time of communications and booking.

Responsibility of the client:

The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions.

The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any damage or losses that are incurred due to the client’s failure to inform them of any known condition or failure to actively take precautionary steps to ensure the clients safety. The makeup artist is not liable for any sensitivities that may occur due to any products used. The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour, any incidents that could jeopardise the makeup artists’ safety and for any medical reasons.

Makeup Previews/ Trials are conducted in the makeup artists’ studio. It is the clients responsibility to arrange this in adequate time prior to the wedding / event.

Cancelations

Weddings must be cancelled in writing 4 months (124 days, 17 weeks) before the event. Full payment of the original and/or agreed booking would apply if cancelled outside of this period. An additional £100 cancellation fee may be applied if payments are late. The makeup artist will be under no obligation to refund any money paid up until the point of cancellation.
The client can cancel a trial giving the artist 48 hours notice. A trial cancelled with less then 48 hours notice will be charged for at the full rate unless otherwise agreed with the artist.

Cancellations by the makeup artist due to circumstances outwith their control, where no other suitable alternative can be arranged, a full refund of the booking will be given to the client. No further compensation will be offered. Note: *Booking fees cover securing the clients date, the artists time spent via correspondence, admin and paperwork setting up clients bridal file and in and preparation for a trial. Booking fees are non refundable and cannot be used in exchange for another service.

If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the makeup artist, including but not limited to weather conditions, an act of god, safety reasons, where possible the makeup artist will endeavour to rectify such situations and find a suitable replacement if required, however no compensation will be offered by the makeup artist. It is strongly advised you take out wedding insurance to cover you against these situations.

Correspondence:

As with all human service providers, Please understand that during busy periods, communication and email replies may be slower than usual. Francine Ray Makeup has dedicated admin days for bridal correspondence. Please be patient outwith these days as I am usually either on location working on a wedding, at trial or a shoot. Emails are my preferred mode of correspondence. If you do not hear back after 72 hours of an enquiry, please resend your enquiry as I have likely missed it and will never knowingly ignore an enquiry. Alternatively please use social media messages.

Masterclasses / Events

All tickets must be purchased for personal use. Tickets are non refundable and non transferable. In the event that a Masterclass or event is postponed or rescheduled, Francine Ray Makeup will automatically transfer your booking to a new date/ location. Your tickets and places will be moved to this new date and we will use reasonable endeavours to inform you of this change using the email address you provided when making your original purchase and the makeup artists social media platforms. There will be no obligation to refund any purchases made in this instance. If an event/ masterclass is rescheduled, Francine Ray Makeup cannot be held responsible for any resulting costs you may incur for travel, accommodation and other related goods, services or compensation.

Photography


The client agrees that the makeup artist requires adequate time after makeup application for a few photos. These photos may be used for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artists website and social media pages. Photography from any events and masterclasses will likely be shared on social media platforms and can be used for advertising purposes

Travel Expenses

The client will cover all necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist outside the artists’ studio. Every makeup appointment outwith the makeup artist’s studio is liable to travel and call out charges. These will be reflected within the client’s final invoice. Price Lists are subject to change without notice to reflect any rising costs and inflation.

By financially securing your booking/ going ahead with an appointment, you accept these terms of contract.
